LHS was founded in 1969 and was originally affiliated with the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Corporation under the Ministry of Metallurgical Industry. In 2003, LHS was restructured from a state-owned enterprise into a private limited company.
LHS is located in Huludao, Liaoning Province, China, covering an area of 140,000 square meters. LHS has a fully digitalized production line for a complete range of threaded and down-the-hole drilling tools. In 1987, LHS became the first company in Chinese drilling tool industry to export products to the international market and passed the ISO9001 international quality management system as the first one in the same industry in 1995. By 2025, LHS had been the leading exporter of drilling tools in China for 37 consecutive years.
